KEY-SAFE teaches the use of a keychain baton (Kubotan) for self-defense. The Yawara (Hand staff) is closely related to Ju-Jitsu. Samurai hid these in their clothing as a covert weapon. The YAWARA is the weapon of the Seven Owl Dojo. In your trained hands, it is a devastating weapon. In your assailant's hands, it is virtually useless. Both males and females. Wear workout clothes. $49.00, includes keychain baton. Saturday December 10, 2005, 1PM to 4PM.

Just out of curiosity.. did my eyes pop out of my head when Sensei Black choked me at the end of class?? LOL! It’s amazing how fast an attack happens, and why you should keep your yawara in your hand while walking to your car or house.. And I’m still amazed at how such a small “weapon” can make a grown man cry! Great class!! Also- Thank you(!) to Cindy for staying after class to work with me!
