Well, got a voice mail from Bill a little earlier. I will convey exactly what he said. Apparently his ankle is broken, and they are not exactly certain about the tendons, but they seemed to think they might be injured. He was going to have scheduling done for surgery, but he was not sure exactly what was going to be done.

Ok, further update. Have a nice x-ray of Wil's fibula and a pretty beefy fracture about half an inch above the ankle. He is scheduled for surgery on Thursday to put a plate in, at which point they will determine if there is additional damage to the ligaments and/or tendons.

I'd like to note that this was a typical sports injury, was purely accidental, and is all part of the game. I'll have a nice sabbatical from the sport, get tuned up and come back for more. Ask around the dojo. It's hard to find a serious player who hasn't had at least one such injury. If I was averse to such things, I'd have knitting as a hobby. Play hard. No, that's not what I meant, Gerard. Sheesh.

I was going to knit you a nice little bottie to go over your cast but forget it now!
